Hello everyone -- real quick -- I can only send these blog updates automatically to up 10 ten people. From now on... there is only one email sent per married couple so that I can add more people to my list. So ted/paula dad/nancy etc, you'll have to share! I need to fit more names onto my list!
Well....my first night in España was a hit. Oh my. We separated from out huge group and ended up with about 7 of us. There was un festival but it was difficult to find and since we weren't used to starting the night so late, we opted to find a local bar where we could relax and hang out rather than find the festival. Well familia, let's just say the festival found us. When there were no tables left at this little cafe/bar, i made friends with a group of motley south americans... meaning they were from uruguay, peru, mexico, ...por todos partes, and one de portugal and one de espana also. (ay...Nico... mas de nico en un momento...)
Anyway... after muchas exchanges de numeros de mobil (cell phone numbers) y nombres de facebook (facebook names) we had everyone's contact info. There was also no shortage of copas (drinks) por las americanas lindas! We also had Jimmy with us, the boy of our group, and he was a hit as well! There was no shortage of chants of "Zjee-mee, zjee-mee, zjee, mee" from our new friends.
well now the hour is about 10:45 am here (ay, porque no estoy todavia en mi cama??? no se...) and I was shaken awake my the CRAZY ringtone on my new phone...it was Nico. He is going to give all of us a tour of Barcelona from the view of a local today. I told him si pudiera tomar un cafe, todo estara bien. (As long as i get a coffee, it will all be fine) Trust me, it was not easy to wake up at 10:00 to a call from a fluent Spanish speaker after a night of copas.
So that is the update for now. Hopefully we have a day full of adventure (and hopefully learning to use the metro....which i think we rode at one point last night to get to Gracia.... (grathia) no recuerdo. jajaja!)
